Course Description |
This course occurs fully online. You will need to spend time each week reading the chapters and dialoguing with other students in the discussion area. Online courses are not easy and do require dedication and good time management skills. An updated calendar will always show deadlines. Plan on spending several hours a week on the readings, discussions and exams. Always ask if you have more questions. The Course Guidelines within the course will have more specifics on requirements in the course. |
|
Online Information and time commitment: |
Not everyone is suited to take an online course. If you are not sure if this is right for you, please take the “Online Readiness Checklist” under “Getting Started with Online Learning” (http://www.sanjuancollege.edu/pages/1302.asp). I work hard at communicating all semester long with each student in the course but much of the responsibility lies in the hands of the individuals to complete assignments and interact with other classmates. Online courses are not easy. You will be required to read, interact, post, challenge, test, and a variety of other activities just as you would in an on-campus course. Set aside 5-6 hours each week for work on this course at a minimum.
