Día de los Niños originated in Mexico in 1925 and is now embraced worldwide as a day to honor and recognize the invaluable role children play in our society.

ENLACE and the San Juan College Herencia Latina Center are excited to host this annual celebration, providing children an opportunity to play games and enjoy a day dedicated specifically to them,” said Arely Caro, Director of the San Juan College ENLACE/Herencia Latina programs.

This free, family-friendly event will highlight children’s summer activities in San Juan County. It will also include a petting zoo, games, prizes, face painting, balloon art, child safety seat inspections, and food for sale from the Colores Club.

More than 20 community organizations will be on hand, including the Farmington Police Department, Farmington Public Library, E3 Children’s Museum, Kids Kollege, Sycamore Park Community Center, Save the Children, Amplified Therapy, Farmington Area Single Track (F.A.S.T.), New Mexico State Police and Safer NM.
