Welcome to the San Juan College Testing Center. We are located on the first floor of the Information Technology Center (also called the Coppertop) on the Main Campus of San Juan College. You can access a Google Maps image of the Testing Center by clicking here.  The SJC Testing Center provides a wide variety of testing services to SJC students, community members and distance education students. The mission of the San Juan College Testing Center is to provide high quality testing and assessment services that observe nationally recoginzed professional testing standards in order to meet the growing needs of our students, faculty, administration and community.

We subscribe to the National College Testing Association Professional Standards and Guidelines. We are a member of the Consortium of College Testing Centers, supporting distance learning.

Testing Services

• Academic Skills/Admissions Assessments: College and program entrance exams (Accuplacer, TEAS, HOBET, PSB-HOAE).
• Certification and Licensure Testing: Testing through Prometric, Pearson Vue, ACT, and other national vendors.
• GED (General Educational Development): High school equivalency testing.
• Proctoring Services: Test proctoring for colleges, universities, and employers other than San Juan College.
• Testing for College Credit: CLEP Testing

The SJC Testing Center is staffed by the Director of Testing and two Testing Specialists. Any staff person will be happy to assist you with your assessment needs. The SJC Testing Center is also bound by the privacy restrictions set forth in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), which states that no student/examinee information shall be released to a third party without the written consent of the student. 

All visitors to the college campus are expected to abide by the Visitor and Guest Rules for Conduct as outlined by San Juan College.  It is the responsibility of each visitor to inform herself of San Juan College these expectations prior to visiting the college.

Hours of Operation

We are open from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday and 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM on Saturday.  Please make an appointment for testing services by calling 505-566-3139 or the contact the appropriate testing vendor.  Vendor websites and telephone numbers are listed on the table of Testing and Examinations Offered.
