Video On Demand (VOD)

In the fall of 2005, OTS installed a Video On Demand system from Vbrick Systems, Inc. The system, referred to as EtherneTV, provides a flexible platform to send video signals using IP connections.

SJC currently uses EtherneTV for many purposes including:

1. Video on Demand for classroom instruction
2. Scheduled video programs to desktops anywhere on campus
3. Selected TV channels to desktops anywhere on campus
4. Satellite feeds across fiber connections to remote sites

Future plans include providing training videos on demand to College employees at their desktop and video on demand instruction for students.
