What Can Pathways do for You?

Would you like a career in health care?  Would you like to learn more about the many career options available to you?  Would like help setting your goals, exploring different professions and honing your study skills?  Then the San Juan College Pathways program is just what you are looking for!

The Pathways Program is designed to help you explore, plan for, and succeed in the health care program of your choice at San Juan College.   Best of all, these services and activities are free to all SJC students!

 While all of the programs and activities in this program are available to all SJC students, they were designed to maximize the values, strengths and cultural heritage of Native American students.  The Pathways Program, funded under a Department of Education Title III Grant, will focus on three primary areas:

  • Resources, encouragement and role models that help you explore and plan for health care programs, starting with health care prerequisite courses such as biology, chemistry and math
  • Workshops, courses and curriculum that prepare you to succeed in college
  • Academic and student support services that assist you in your science and health care programs

Note: This program is generously funded through a U.S. Department of Education TITLE III Grant ($1.25 million over the first two years).   Program is 100% grant funded in the first two years of operation.
