The Pathways Program offers several college courses to help you explore your health care options, succeed in your degree program, and bring western health care and traditional culture into harmony.

College Success Course for Health Care Students: LRNS 111, section 005
Fall Semester: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:30 – 3:45 pm

This course will help you succeed as a college student from day one! Throughout the semester you will:

  • Learn to maximize the strengths you bring with you to college
  • Develop strong study skills to conquer the most rigorous college science courses
  • Explore the many college support services available to you
  • Meet other students who are focused on academic success
  • Explore health care degree and certificates options
  • Learn to thrive in your chosen health care profession

Maximizing Native American Values in Health Care Education

This course will help you maximize Native American values and culture as you transition into science and health care courses based on western educational models. This course is currently under development, and will be available during the spring 2010 semester.

Utilizing Health Care Education in Native American Health Care Settings

Once you have completed your health care program, this course will assist you as prepare to work in Native American communities and on reservations. Among other important lessons, you will learn how to incorporate traditional beliefs and values into your practice. This course is currently under development, and will be available during the spring 2010 semester.
