Duties & Responsibilities:

The position reports to the Training and Technical Assistance Program Manager located at the Family Resource Center. Responsibilities include oversight of Early Learning Center, development and management of annual training calendar, delivering services of the AIM High Quality Initiative Program, recruiting licensed child care providers, assisting them in setting and accomplishing goals based on State STAR systems. Additional responsibilities include oversight of Safer NM car seat distribution program, working with TTAP team to provide training and technical assistance to centers in an effort to assist them with meeting child care licensing annual requirements. Attend all state trainings and meetings as required by the grant.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or related field; three years experience in a child care center, home or early childhood classroom. Knowledge in “best practices” in early childhood is essential. Excellent communication skills, including ability to write and document observations and interactions preferred. Candidate must have the ability to mentor adults, work with diverse populations and have excellent oral and written communication skills. NHTSA certification helpful. NM Driver’s license, vehicle insurance and use of own vehicle required. Physical Requirements: Varied sitting, standing and walking, alternate office environment and on site location exposure. Must be able to lift up to 25lbs of office related materials/equipment.
