Financial Assistance Opportunities and No Prior Experience Needed
San Juan College is dedicated to making healthcare education accessible. Financial assistance is available, with qualifying students potentially receiving up to 100% paid tuition. Additionally, no prior medical experience is required to join the program. For those interested in hands-on experience, the program offers a potential apprenticeship option that includes paid, on-the-job training.
High Demand for Medical Assistants in New Mexico and Beyond
Medical assistants are in high demand, both in New Mexico and nationwide, as they play a crucial role in outpatient settings by providing administrative and clinical support. According to the 2023 Bureau of Labor Statistics, annual earnings for medical assistants range from $30,390 to $51,710, highlighting the promising career prospects in this field.
Comprehensive Curriculum Prepares Students for Certification
SJC’s Medical Assistant Program covers a comprehensive curriculum that includes:
- Medical Terminology
