Herschel Curley: Building Community Connections
A San Juan County native, Herschel Curley brings a passion for connecting with the community to his role as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and assessment lab technician at the HHPC. Curley believes the key to a successful fitness journey lies in patience and self-compassion. His tips include:
- Be patient and kind to yourself.
- The best exercise is the one you enjoy and will do regularly.
- Don’t expect two years of progress in two weeks.
- View failure as an opportunity to learn and grow.
Angel Flores: Start Small and Stay Consistent
Angel Flores, a recent graduate of Adams State University with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, is deeply involved in sports training and coaching. As an assistant soccer coach at Piedra Vista High School, he understands the importance of small, manageable steps. His advice:
- Start small—any effort is progress.
- Something is better than nothing.
- Don’t hesitate to ask for help.
- Strive for consistency over perfection.

With 19 years in San Juan County and 16 years as a trainer and group fitness instructor, Beth Digiacomo is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment for anyone seeking improved physical fitness. Her reminder: “The best investment you can make is in YOU and your health.”
