San Juan College is proud to announce the grand opening of its new Student Health Center, a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide accessible healthcare services on campus.
Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Set for February 19
The celebration will take place on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the Zia Conference Room at the Health and Human Performance Center, followed by guided tours of the new center.
A $2.2 Million Investment in Student Wellness
The 2,652-square-foot Student Health Center represents a significant investment in student health and well-being.
"We are profoundly grateful for the generous support that has made our new Student Health Center a reality," said Dr. Toni Hopper Pendergrass, President of San Juan College. "This $2.2 million facility was made possible through a $1.1 million federal appropriation secured by Congresswoman Teresa Leger Fernandez, with the remaining $1.1 million funded by state severance tax bonds, thanks to our dedicated local legislative delegation.”

The Student Health Center is designed to support students' physical and mental health needs in a welcoming, professional environment. The facility includes:

Two fully equipped exam rooms for medical services

Three private offices for medical and behavioral health professionals

Restrooms and storage areas to support facility operations
