Stargazing can come alive through storytelling. Discover how our modern constellations came from the ancient Greeks and how skywatchers of many other cultures saw their own patterns in the sky. Explore basic Greco-Roman constellations and star lore as well as Native American (including Navajo), ancient Egyptian, Chinese, Norse and other constellations, and appreciate the night sky in new ways!

Do you like space science that has a big “WOW” factor?! In this course, you will learn about the structure of the universe, and even a possible “multiverse”, for starters! Next we will study Einstein’s Special and General Relativity in order to understand some of the most mysterious objects in space: black holes, white fountains, and wormholes! We conclude the course with a study of interstellar space travel (including spaceship designs!) and consider the possibility of time travel!
